We had our best day of the month yesterday with 46,478 uniques and 191,145 page views.

Max Rome's ongoing legal troubles and the baseball card addict were both Farked, plus all the spot news car accidents made for a very strong day.

Baseball card 'addict' pleads guilty

Strong day Tuesday, Aug. 26 with 31,647 uniques and 173,527 page views.

This puts us right on budget for the month with an average of 28,040 uniques per day through Aug. 26. We have five days to go, including a Saturday and Sunday, which tend to be low-traffic days, so we'll have to keep pushing to make our goal.

Keep the breaking news coming. The effort has been fantastic. Andrew Moore noted that both Dan King and Emily Quirk have really kicked it up a notch this month. Thanks Dan and Emily!

Cheating girlfriend still top story

Sorry for the brief hiatus in our online traffic reports.

Through Aug. 25 we have 694,091 unique visitors for an average of 27,763 daily uniques. Our goal is to finish the month with an average of 28,000.

We got a nice bump on Friday and Saturday from Fark pickups. At one point we had four stories on the Fark home page.

Best month of 2008

July ended strong with 37,004 uniques and 178,742 page views thanks again to Adam's story on the 90-year-old woman and Andrew's initiative to send a wire story to Fark.

Kudos also to Frank Coppola whose story on the Manny Ramirez trade got more than 2,200 page views.

July was our most successful month this year with a total of 879,597 unique visitors for an average of 28,374 per day. This is a 31 percent increase over last year's July numbers.

Remember that our breaking news incentive began today and will run the entire month of August.
